International Day for Elder Persons 2K22

This year, 2022, we are celebrating International Day for Elder Persons on 1st October. Like Mother’s day and Father’s day we have dedicated this day to our grandparents.

Grandparents and children have a special connection that is proven to both make grandparents live longer, and also make children more emotionally resilient. Grandparents Day is an opportunity to treasure that connection and spend some quality family time together. The intention of celebrating National Grandparents Day serves three distinct purposes which are: to honor grandparents, to give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their children's children and to help children become aware of strength, information and guidance older people can offer. Grandparents are a role model. Their actions speak greater than their words. The way we should behave in a positive perception of older people in our minds. Grandparents offer us a wide range of knowledge, emotions, and experience then they did as parents.

In our school, Shree H. J. Gajera English Medium School, Primary Section, std 3rd and 4th students have celebrated this day with poster making activity. They made poster with the theme of “My Grandparents” dedicating the poster to them. They enjoyed a lot to made poster of grandparents with beautiful thoughts and ideas. All children took this opportunity heartily and the response was awesome.
