The most loved beverage of millions of people of this world is none other than coffee. International coffee day is observed on every 1st of October to promote coffee as a beverage.
It was first officially launched by ICO in Milan on 1st October, 2015. This special day is celebrated for promoting the coffee as a beverage. By this, people will get to know about the history benefits and popularity of coffee and recognize the hard work and efforts of those who are associated with the coffee industry. There are different types of coffee starts that ranges from cappuccino to double espresso. “Coffee with a friend is like capturing happiness in a cup.”
It first originated in Ethiopia and discovered by a goat herder Kaldi. And then again came to notice when it was used in the Middle East in the 16th century. Thereafter its aroma spread all over the world.
The harvesting of coffee starts during November to February. It takes about 3 to 4 years for coffee tree to bear fruits which is known as coffee cherry. After drying the coffee cherry these black seeds of Coffee are gathered and after the process of roasting and grinding we get coffee powder that is used to make delicious coffee.
Coffee enlightens our mood and helps to fight with depression. So, let's celebrate this day with a cup of coffee.
