International Women's Day Celebration
“The most important thing one woman can do for another is expand her sense of actual possibilities.”

The International Women's Day is celebrated on every March 8 to observe women's success and part in cultural, political, social and economic development. It is also acknowledged to make people aware of women's rights and gender equality. Women all around the globe deserve a peaceful environment, equal rights and opportunities. It is almost fascinating to see the tables turning in terms of people's outlook towards women and valuing their contributions across the world.

Today on 8th March, 2021 we celebrated ‘International Women’s Day’. We initiated the day with a webinar which was conducted for all women on the social media platform where Dr. Shalaka Joshi, who is a professor and consultant surgeon in Department of Surgical Oncology, was the eminent speaker. It was live webinar which was broadcasted on Facebook as well as Youtube. The purpose of this session was to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of knowing the precautions. Dr. Shalaka, in her address highlighted the need for knowledge about Breast Cancer and stressed on the positive thinking among cancer survivors.

The theme of International Women's Day 2021 is 'Choose To Challenge'. This states that the women are responsible for their own thoughts and actions everyday and they challenge the world every day. The theme further signifies that women can choose to challenge gender bias and inequality in the world. People need to celebrate women's achievements and also make world a better place to live in with equality.

It was an occasion for the members of the Gajera family to pause for a moment and reflect on ourselves, to appreciate how much has been done and what more needs to be done in the field of gender equality. Moreover, it was the day to acknowledge all the men and women in the world for making this world a better place for everyone to live in.
After the school got over, a special program for the lady educators was organized. Each one of them including our helper staff was recognized with a beautiful flower. The art team prepared these flowers themselves for the lady staff especially for this occasion. The whole schedule was planned, organized, managed and executed by whole male staff. Mr. Rahul Gamit who was the host of the evening maintained the flow of the evening. A short speech was given by Mr. Aakash Parmar. It was followed by Songs, Drama and other entertainment which were planned for the evening. A poem dedicated to all women staff was recited by Mr. Yogesh Prajapati.
