National Road Safety Week Celebration
“Leave sooner, drive slower, live longer.”

National Road Safety Week is celebrated from January 11 to 17 of every year with a mission of saving millions of lives that are endangered worldwide as road safety continues to be a significant concern and to raise awareness for preventing death and injuries worldwide. The theme for this year 2023 was 'Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha'. The aim was to solely raise public awareness about traffic rules. The motto of the campaign was to emphasize about various measures that people should take to comply with the government's safety regulations and, as a result, keep themselves and their loved ones safe.

Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India observes the Road Safety Week from 11th to 17th January 2023, under “Swachhata Pakhwada”, to propagate the cause of safer roads for all. During the Week, various activities was organised throughout the Country to create awareness among general public and to give an opportunity to all stakeholders to contribute to the cause of road safety.

To make our young learners also aware of such a important notion our school Shree H J Gajera English Medium School, Primary Section, Katargam organized various activities for them. It ranged from traffic lights colouring for the learners of class 1st to MCQs based on the traffic rules for class 7th. The learners through these activities understood that
“You can't get home unless you're safe.”
