"Raising A Reader"

Introducing regular reading time into child’s schedule has another benefit outside of creating shared time together: increased discipline and concentration. Very young children rarely sit still for long, and it’s oftentimes difficult to get them to focus. But when WE introduce regular reading to our children from childhood, WE may start to observe a change in THEIR behavior. Toddlers may initially squirm and become distracted during story time, but eventually they’ll learn to stay put for the duration of the book.

Keeping this motive in the mind, we celebrated Book Lovers Day in our school. Learners were taken to Main School Library where educators motivated and inspired them to read different books. Learners too were very much happy to step into the world of imagination through reading various stories.

Educators took the promise from children to value books, and continue to practice independent reading throughout the rest of their lives.
