Republic Day Celebration

The Republic Day of India is celebrated on the 26th of January every year since from 1950. It is celebrated as the constitution of independent India was firstly enacted on 26th January 1950. It took 2 years 11 months and 18 days to frame the world`s largest written constitution which comprised of 12 schedules and 444 articles but after various amendments, the current constitution of India has 22 schedules and 395 articles.

We at Shree H.J. Gajera English Medium School celebrate the Republic Day every year. So, by following the tradition, we celebrated it this year as well. We performed flag hoisting at our campus and our chief guest was Mr., Bakulbhai Gajera. We sang our National Anthem and saluted our National Flag.

On this auspicious day, we organized a blood donation camp where everyone was openly invited for donating one of the most precious liquid resource and we received a huge response from the donors which included our Gajera Trust’s Principals, Educators, Alumnus and Parents. As a result of this massive response, we collected 143 units of blood of 450 ml each. The core purpose was, to aware the society about blood donation. All the donors were weighed on the weighing machine and were registered by collecting some of their basic details. Before collecting the blood the pre requisite tests were done to verify that the blood was not infected, their hemoglobin level were checked and only those who fulfilled all conditions medically were allowed to donate their blood. After collection of blood, donors were made to sit and were provided with some refreshments to rehydrate and energize them because losing about 450 milliliters of blood all at once can lead to weakness if instant hydration is not provided to them. Also all the donors were provided with a certificate as a token of appreciation, so that they can keep doing such noble deeds. The camp started at 8:00 am and continued till 12:30 pm.

Simultaneously, the program of republic day was going on too. While hoisting the flag, everyone was filled with a positive energy and patriotism and everyone was happy and remembering the brave soldiers and their sacrifices behind the nation because each and every soldier has contributed immensely to the development of the largest democracy across the globe. We at Shree H.J. Gajera School were very happy as we contributed to the society by this blood donation camp and we will continue to do so. Lastly, we would like to say that the soldiers and their sacrifices and the feeling of patriotism should not need any specific day or date but it should always be with us for 365 days till we live. And we will always try our level best to contribute in the growth of the society and the nation.

“Be proud that you are an Indian because lucky are those who are born in this great country. Happy Republic Day 2022!”
